In the bustling world of photography, motherhood, and life where each click captures a moment, it's essential for people to fuel their creativity, homes, and bellies with wholesome meals. Today, I want to share a delectable and health-conscious recipe that perfectly aligns with the busy lifestyle of a photographer and mom – Cauliflower Fried Rice.
As a photographer in Traverse City, I understand the demands of the job and the need for quick, nutritious meals. This recipe has been my go-to, especially during my vegan college days when I relied on a chicken substitute called Quorn. Although the current version of the Cauliflower Fried Rice doesn't include it, feel free to tailor the ingredients to meet your dietary preferences.
Ingredients:
Low Sodium Soy Sauce
Ground Turkey (Optional)
Sesame Seeds
Garlic Powder
Diced White Onion
Egg (Optional)
Iron Chef Sesame Garlic Sauce (for topping)
Directions:
Grease your pan and heat it on medium.
While it warms up, chop a white onion and toss it in the pan.
Once the onion's got a nice tan, add a bag of cauliflower rice to the mix.
Splash in about half a tablespoon each of soy sauce and coconut aminos. Give it a good stir.
Sprinkle in a quarter teaspoon of garlic powder and keep stirring.
Watch out, this cooks up quick! Keep stirring so the cauliflower rice doesn't burn.
Once it's got that golden touch, toss in some sesame seeds. Serve it up in a bowl, and if you're feeling fancy, drizzle on some Sesame Garlic sauce. Easy peasy, deliciously breezy!
